Who we are

What we collect, and why

• Your order details. The crater you chose, the dedication name and message, your email, your shipping address and phone number. We need these to print the certificate and post the box.
• Your payment.Handled entirely by Stripe on their own pages. We never see or store your card number. We keep only Stripe's reference for the payment.
• Messages you send us. Contact form submissions and their replies, so we can actually answer you.
• Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address only, and only if you type it in.
• Anonymous visit statistics. Page views and rough traffic sources, with no cookies and no cross-site tracking.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We do not run advertising pixels. We do not add you to a marketing list because you bought something, you have to ask for that separately. We do not publish your dedication name or message unless you ticked the box asking us to, and even then a person reads it first.

Who else touches it

• Stripe processes the payment and holds the billing and shipping details you give at checkout.
• Our email provider sends your confirmation and any replies.
• USPS gets your name, address and phone number, because that is how parcels work.
• Our hosting platform stores the site and its database.

That is the entire list. Nobody else gets your details.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax authorities require it. Contact messages are kept for two years. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. A crater's registry entry is permanent by design, but if you chose privacy it never carries your name.

Your rights

Email jtcratercompany@gmail.com and you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. We will do it within 30 days and we will not ask you why. Deleting your personal details does not undo a dedication, but it does strip your name from everything we can strip it from.

Children

The gift set is made for children, but the buying is for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 13. If a child has given us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so here with a new date at the top, and email anyone with an open order.
