1. Pick from the twelve open today
Every crater in our catalogue is real, named by astronomers, and sits at coordinates you can find with binoculars. Twelve are open for dedication each day. Choose from the Moon map or search the list, and hold the one you want while you fill in the rest.
2. Write the dedication
A name, and a message if you want one. This is what gets printed on the certificate and, only if you ask, published on your crater page in the registry.
3. Pay once, $54
Payment is handled on Stripe, which means your card details never touch our site. Standard shipping is free. There is no subscription, no renewal and no second charge, ever.
4. The registry closes behind you
Your crater is marked dedicated the moment the payment clears and is never offered to anyone else. Its permanent page goes live, your certificate is printed, and the box is dispatched from the desert.

Everything is printed on heavy uncoated stock and packed by hand in Joshua Tree. The certificate is the only part that changes between sets, because it carries your crater and your dedication; everything else is the same box we would give a friend.
The coloring pages are large format and printed one side only, so a child can pull one out and work on it flat without losing the other. The Field Notes journal has ruled and blank spreads, because half of looking up is sketching what you saw badly and then again better.
