The Joshua Tree Crater Company
Manifesto
Seven things we believe, printed here so you can hold us to them.

One. Looking up is free
Every part of this company exists to get someone outside after dark. If the product ever gets in the way of that, the product is wrong.
Two. We do not sell the Moon
Nobody can. We sell a dedication in our own registry and a box of good things. We will never dress that up as an official designation, a deed, or a property right, and we say so on the page where you pay.
Three. Scarcity should be real
Twelve craters a day, each one dedicated once, out of a fixed catalogue of 1,615. When they are gone, they are gone. We will not quietly top up the pool to keep selling.
Four. The record is public
Every dedicated crater gets a permanent page with its real coordinates, diameter and history. Anyone can read it. The registry is the point.
Five. Privacy is the default
Your name and your message stay off that page unless you ask for them. We would rather have a quieter registry than a single person surprised by what we published.
Six. Protect what you name
The Moon is a scientific archive with no weather to repair it. We give a share of what we make to dark sky and lunar science advocacy, and we will keep saying that the surface deserves rules.
Seven. Same sky, bigger dreams
A kid in Joshua Tree and a kid eight thousand miles away are looking at the same object tonight. That is the whole idea. Everything else is packaging.
